What is Missions?

1. a specific task or duty assigned to a person or group of people
2. a task or duty that a person believes he or she must achieve; vocation: he felt it was his mission to pass on his knowledge to other people
3. a group of people representing or working for a particular country or organization in a foreign country
4. a group of people sent by a church to a foreign country to do religious and social work
5. a person or group of people whom offer shelter or aid to the poor or needy

So we can all "do" missions! It is a "calling of your heart." Something that you are passionate about. Probably has been there most of your life, or some "life changing" event has cause you to reach out. It's how God works. It's how he reaches out to his children that are in need. He does it through you. He uses your hands, your voice, your arms, your feet....to touch the ones that are crying out to Him. And as you follow His leading, that tug in the depth of your soul...that's when you experience a peace that is beyond understanding. Why, because He needs you to make a difference. He wants to give you the "gift". He wants to allow you to experience His love. Yes, we can be a part of changing the world, one person at a time! It may be in sharing your knowledge, going to another country to help others, sharing the love of Christ in a foreign country, offering shelter or aid to the poor or needy. We all can be a part of missions. Doesn't matter who you are. Doesn't matter what you have to offer. It's that you take a step to give of yourself. What is your mission? We all have one!
