SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED!

Let me catch you up....we were a little discouraged, because our facilitator told us that the slim chance we had for 2008, looked as if it was not going to work out for us. Even though I wasn't blogging, I keep a journal. Here are some inserts from that to catch you up on what has happened.........

December 1, 2008 - God calls everyone to look after orphans.....

We just wanted to touch God's heart. He had done so much for us as individuals and for our family and we just wanted to give him all of our lives in return. It wasn't long before we read James 1:27 and knew we weren't exempt from God's calling to help orphans. We learned that it was our responsibility to be God's hands to reach out to those that are unable to help themselves. The more difficult part was trying to figure out "how should we help?" After studying God's word, researching many orphan ministry websites, we were lead to orphanshope.org. We only intended to donate some money. Buy some school supplies or possibly travel to the Ukraine for a mission trip. But our minds never can imagine the wonderful blessings God has in store for his childen So in 2007, we took a big leap of faith and told God that if He wanted us to adopt, we would. So we have filled out paper work ( more than once ), waited and waited, been vaccinated, our lives scrutinized, and then more waiting, received positive advice and some negative from well-meaning family and friends, fingerprinted, and more waiting, thought we were almost there, and then more waiting and did I say, "we have been waiting and waiting"!

No it looks like our journey to adopt is coming to an end. It looks like we have missed the cut off date for 2008. And because of more government changes for 2009, we will not be eligible.

December 29, 2008 - His timing is always perfect!

When you are praying for God to do something big in your life, you are unaware what He is doing behind the scenes! In Job 11:7 we read...."He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted!" After nearly 2 years of asking God regarding orphan ministry, on December 29, 2008, our facilitator with Orphan's Hope telephoned us to give us the exciting news! On March 1, 2009 we will travel to the Ukraine to pick up our new addition or additions to our family! Many prayers have been prayed. We wanted to answer God's call to adoption, but as time went by we were unsure if this would be how God would use us to help his little ones! Now we are definately sure this is the path God has called us to. We were also made aware that we were actually approved on the last day of November which was our final opportunity to the year of 2008. This in itself was a miracle. God chose us out of 100's to serve him in this way! Another interesting fact is that as of December 1, we also found out because the laws had again changed, we would have been uneligilbe to adopt going forward. But that is how God works! Never too late, always on time! We cannot fatham his wonders and miracles! What do you need today? He is available....just talk to him. He is longing to bless you!

As you read this and follow our adoption journey over the next few months, it is our hope that you will begin to experience something personal in your own life and the lives of your family. You see we have learned that God is always here, always involved and always perfect. His love, His timing, His comfort and His willingness to be real and alive in our everyday lives is beyond our imagination. This is not just about an adoption journey, but how God has become more personal in each of our lives....and it is our sincere hope that you will give God a chance to do wonderful and miraculous in your life.

We are excited about what God is going to do in our lives and yours through this experience!
Thank you for your love and support!
Paul and Darla Czeropski, Jenny, Evan, Andy and Nathan
