Just wanted to say a HUGE....THANK YOU to the "couple" that sent us the toys! I won't mention their names because some people like to keep gift giving anonymous, but we were elated!!!!! This is our first donation for the orphanage. I teared up opening the package because everything was perfect! Little matchbox size motorcycles,and cars from the movie, "Cars!" Minature Hungry hippo games, Stuffed "boy" bears and one stuffed "girl" baby doll! Mini frisbies!

So allow me to give you an update on some other items that are needed. We were given these tips by our new "adoption blog" friends, that Paul mentioned in his blog.

Some of the items that are really needed are children's winter scarves, gloves, and caps...plus underwear....all kinds. Oh, and shoes!!! However, I don't know how we would fit these in our suitcase, but we will try even if we have to smash them in!!! If you want to send money and earmark it for shoes, we can buy them when are in Ukraine. However, shoes are really expensive there! I think this must be why the children wear them till they are literally falling off their feet because they only get one pair till they can't wear them anymore.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Just know that very soon a little child's eyes will light up to receive a toy they can call their very own! Gifts are like gold to children in the orphanages! We have even heard they treat the "packaging" with tender loving care and save it to return the toy back in it's proper place as if it was never opened.

Our family smiles at this wonderful gift! God smiles, too!
